ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE, opened in Portland and with over a hundred franchise locations coast, weighing in at over 15 kinds of pancakes and featuring the giant skillet sized German pancake.  A go to breakfast for hordes of pancake lovin’ fans and butter lovin’ masses hungry for the dreamy Tahitian maiden crepe with brandy and triple sec.  this is no lightweight contender.  This is the original pancake house.

Both have fresh fluffy pancakes with unique different toppings and both are delicious, both arrive in big hearty buttermilk stacks and both will satisfy your griddlecake craving,  but there can be only one.  The clear winner for best pancake is….sorry big breakfast franchise… Big Kitchen Café!.  The one big pancake is so fluffy and angelic it melts in your mouth cozies up to your taste buds in a romantic kind of way. It actually needs no embellishment and it’s almost a sin to drown its singular deliciousness with the melted butter and real maple syrup they serve with it.  Judy, you win the food challenge today and my loyalty and you’re in the running for another food fight challenge coming up: the sauciest restaurant owner in town!
